What was Agent Orange?

During the Vietnam-American war, in an attempt to deny the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese cover and food, the United States military extensively used a defoliant mixture of two herbicides, 24-D and 245-T mixed with kerosene or diesel fuel and containing the extremely toxic dioxin. It was colloquially known as Agent Orange due to the orange stripe on the 55 gallon drums in which it was transported to Vietnam.

What can I do?

You can donate money to charitable organisations in Vietnam that help disabled children and perform life-changing operations.

You can also volunteer your time to help Vietnamese families affected by Agent Orange.

New children born with deformities 40 years on

The grandchildren of people exposed to Agent Orange reportable have an increased likelihood of birth defects, skin disorders, auto-immune diseases, liver disorders, psychosocial effects, neurological defects and gastrointestinal diseases.

It is thought that the genes mutated by Agent Orange are passed on from generation to generation.

Who we support

  • The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation is an international partnership of people dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational training and job placement, as well as children at risk of sexual and economic exploitation. Donated: $5.00
  • Through our involvement with welfare and charity groups in Australia and our travels through Asian countries, particularly Vietnam, we have seen first hand the impact poverty has on an individual’s ability to access health care & education, particularly in third world countries. Most people are not in a position to provide hands on support to those in need but through working together to raise funds, everyone has the opportunity to become involved. It is our dream to make a difference, however big or small so please help us to bring hope to the hearts and a smile to the faces of those who are suffering.
